Course Description

Imam Khomeini was one of the twentieth-century political-spiritual leaders who, through his thoughts and actions, created a social movement that led to the Islamic revolution. This revolution not only changed the political structure of Iran, but also expanded its scope beyond the borders of Iran and changed many regional and international equations. He was not merely a political-social leader, but a religious scholar who was concerned about morality and spirituality and wanted to provide a better personal and social life for Iranians in order to be able to secure humanity, liberty and altruism. He contemplated the spiritual well-being of the citizens and tried to integrate democracy with religion by establishing a religious government based on the religious, moral and spiritual teachings of Islam. The Islamic Revolution and the resulting structure are the result of his efforts, despite the fact that it is based on the jurisprudential theory of the Supreme Leader, maintains the independence of the country and the freedom of the citizens and emphasizes justice and kindness.
